Project Story
When Palms came to us in need of some interior and exterior landscaping we were beyond excited to get to work. There are three different elements of our work at Palms Resort and Casino.

The first is a beautiful vertical garden with live plants at the main entrance. The second is the hanging garden along the edge of the roof. This is made with synthetic plants. There are also 2 green walls above that, which are also made using synthetics.

The biggest thing we worried about when designing this project was the drastic climate swing that happens in this area. Freezing temperatures at night and scorching heat during the day coupled with howling winds can make living walls almost impossible to install and maintain correctly.

Our very own Scott Hutcheon took the project to the next level with his work. He started with proven “winning plants” that he knew would survive and flourish in the environment. Using various succulents and the AquaFelt system, the wall maintains a beautiful green presence all year round.

We were so happy with the final result and Palms was as well. We would like to thank Lifescapes International for working with us on this project. For more information on vertical gardens and living walls, contact us today!

Project Story

The Hotel Angeleno living wall was part of a complete refresh project on the building. The hotel wanted to renew the modern vibe that had represented their brand for many years. In order to do this, we put our natural engineering into practice next to the pool on an available retaining wall.

The living wall is centered across from the access door that opens up into the pool. This means that the first thing someone sees when they enter the pool area is our beautiful living garden.

The whole architectural style of the hotel is spherical, so we designed the living wall to match. With a slogan stating “We are not square”, we designed concentric rings that radiate from the middle of the living wall.

Our wide range of mosaic succulents helps to hammer home the circular atmosphere that accompanies the hotel.

Project Story
One of the most prestigious projects that we’ve worked on at Seasons, this Beverley Hills homeowner wanted something that felt different as you entered the property.Specifically, he wanted the entrance to feel like an experience in itself. We designed this living wall on the side of the auto courtyard retaining wall. It turned out to be the perfect canvas for our vertical garden layout.

We spent some time working with our plant suppliers on the exact specifications of plant type, color, and length. Using many different ground cover succulents, our designers created a light, modern design that looked much like a quilt of plants. The wall looks incredible when you get close to it, and at the same time, the distance creates that sort of special experience that we and the customer we’re seeking.

All in all, we love the idea of creating an experience with one of our green walls. They stand out and catch the eye of everyone who comes across them. If you want to create an experience for the viewer in your business or home feel free to contact us at Seasons Natural Engineering.

Project Story

The Palm Drive project in Beverley Hills is one of the most interesting horizontal gardens we’ve constructed. The 20-inch concrete retaining wall is visible from many parts of the house, so it needed to fit in with the modern style of the home’s interior. We built the green wall with lush, vibrant textures to contrast the brownish-gray color scheme present in the space.

The wall also has a bit of a twist to it. The doors open to the outside which allow for an optical illusion from some angles. The viewer will struggle to decide whether the wall is indoors or outdoors.

The wall is subterranean and it doesn’t get a lot of sunlight. Lead designer Scott Hutcheon took this into account when he was planning the installation. A horizontal plant layout was chosen rather than a vertical option to allow plants that need more light to stay at the top where more sunlight is available throughout the day.

This project was a great opportunity to showcase what our plant technology at Seasons Landscaping is capable of. Click the link below to see more!
